WOVEN INTO TECH

Woven Into Tech is an integrated campaign that went beyond traditional car advertising. The first year, Nissan did a half page ad in the program booklet. This year we upped the ante. Nissan teamed up with fashion designer Sheila Rashid to design a capsule collection based on the technology and sleek styling of
the Nissan Rogue.

Sheila’s start on the collection was highlighted during Black History Month and teasers of her progress were shown thereafter through digital and social content. The loop was closed on her capsule creations at the WACO (Where Art Can Occur) Wearable Art Gala where the theme was based on the upcoming live action movie ”The Lion King.”

Sheila interviewed on the Red Carpet from questions derived from Creatives.

Based on the Nissan Rogue’s Blind Spot Warning and the “Lion King” themed gala, We presented Sheila a fashion idea of our own; doing a reversible jacket with animal imprint hidden in the interior of a jacket. The imprint was hidden, representing cars on the road that you don’t see coming when switching lanes that trigger the Blind Spot Warning technology.. Sheila loved the idea and created it in time for the gala. It turned out pretty neat!
